In Morelia, the old spanish colonial capital, we stayed with Erandi. We wanted to get something printed during our trip in Mexico, so she took us to a printers she had spotted and we did a 3 days print session on his 1891 US led press.
Its was a great experience. We composed postcards with the led blocks that were lying around his workshop and Harry also designed a poster.
First we drove off to buy the paper.
Then we chose our blocks and made a composition, which was secured within a wood frame.
His mastership, the press…
and the results…
The postacrds were drawn up and sent to friends back home. A couple went on to being exhibited an exhibition Erandi was putting up in Morelia.

I don’t normally comment on blogs, however I have to say that I rather enjoyed yours as it was illuminating. I´ve bookmarked your blog and hope to explorer it further when I have a little more time. Keep up the good work. Well back to my dreaming of Panama or back to the books – I wonder which one is going to win out. 🙂
